Home made beauty tips

(Warning:: Never use any of the above products if they contain an ingredient you may be allergic to) There are plenty of ingredients that you have at home and you can use to create your own beauty products. Here is a collection of tips and tricks to make you naturally beautiful: - Make a homemade beauty facial scrub from grapes. Mash a handful of grapes. Strain them to separate the pulp from the juice. Remove the skins and mash the pulp and juice with 1 tablespoon of almond flour. - Make a homemade hair rinse. Use Aloe vera gel to thicken your hair. Massage it into your scalp then leave it for 15 minutes before rinsing. - Make a homemade beauty facial mask with sugar and oil. Mix 1 tablespoon of sugar with a few drops of olive oil for a sweet facial exfoliant. This can be mixed in larger quantities for full body exfoliation. - Make a homemade beauty facial mask with honey and bananas. Make sure the bananas are not overripe. Mash 2 teaspoons of ashed banana, 2 teaspoons of rolled oats, 1 teaspoon of milk and 1 teaspoon honey. After 10 minutes, massage it into your face. Allow it to sit for 5 more minutes and then rinse with warm water. How do scrubs work? The scrub, when on, is a king of peel. The dead skin cells adhere to the slightly dried paste and are removed by the friction created when you gently massage it over your face. The result is a healthier looking and refreshed skin. If your skin is dry and easily irritated, don’t wash more than once a day. You may risk stripping the skin of its natural oils. Dr. Franks recommends looking for non-irritating cleansing washes that are soap-free, moisturizers that are light, oil-free, and water-based to help maintain the skin’s natural barrier. For a skin softening bath, add 1/4 cup honey to the water, and 1 teaspoon of lemon. And more: - Make a homemade beauty facial mask with apples or pears. Add the piece of fruit to one tablespoon of honey. - Make a homemade moisturizing exfoliant. (do not use in your face) In an air-tight jar, mix together the sugar, the salts and the coffee granules (the concentration of the ingredientes is not important at this point, just experiment with different quantities) Add in the oil. Rub all over your skin in the shower, and then rinse off thoroughly. The mixture will naturally become quite oily. Next, pat the skin dry with a towel.Your skin will be soft and smooth. - Make a homemade moisturizing whitening bath for your nails. Get a bowl with plenty of lemon juice as to cover your nais. Clean your nails, removing any polish you may have on. Dip your nails in the bowl, and keep them there for two minutes. Rinse your nails and apply hand lotion for best results. Dry Skin Is Improved By Exfoliating and Healing the Surface Layer

Some people go for years with dry skin without ever finding a remedy. They either do nothing, just accepting the fact that their skin is dry, or they try product after product without ever finding something that resolves the situation: when the product comes off, the skin is still dry. As the skin is designed to protect the rest of the body and, without that protection, we are more vulnerable to dehydration, disease, damage from chemicals and pollution, and other skin problems such as eczema, rashes, and so on, it's important to fix it. There are two basic changes you can make that will move things in the right direction - first, start exfoliating, and second, use a dry skin treatment that repairs the surface layer rather than just coating it. Why is exfoliating important? The surface layer of normal, healthy skin consists in part of dead skin cells. However, too many dead skin cells cause a problem: as they tend to be cracked, moisture escapes through the skin and, in turn, the skin dries out further. This causes more cracking which then causes more moisture loss and the skin becomes more susceptible to penetration of chemicals, pollutants and bacteria. It's a never-ending cycle. When you exfoliate you remove the excess dry skin cells and replace them with healthy cells that are more capable of producing water and thereby restoring natural moisture. In order to exfoliate without creating further damage, it's important to exfoliate only when needed and to use products that are gentle. Natural products are best. You can even make your own from ingredients found in your kitchen. Check the Internet for masque and exfoliant recipes. Once a week will suffice but you can monitor the frequency by feeling your skin - run your fingers gently along your face, if you feel little patches that are slightly rough, it's time to exfoliate. The next step is to heal the surface layer. This is best done with a shielding lotion. A good shielding lotion bonds with the outer layer of the skin to form a protective barrier that locks in the natural moisture and keeps chemicals and other outside irritants out. This protection then allows the skin to actually heal, unlike the usual moisturizers that simply make the skin feel smooth when they coat it. Often, the combination of exfoliating and using a shielding lotion will be all the dry skin treatment you need. Give it a try! Which Products For Dry Skin Should You Use?

Now here is the problem – you have dry skin. There are so many products to choose from that you just do not know where to start. Do you choose one certain brand because it is endorsed by a celebrity or do you choose another brand because it is affordable? But whichever products that you choose to use there are still other factors that need to be taken into account. First of all is that if you do have dry skin then it is up to you to take the initiative and to take the desired action. Now let us suppose that a person has decided to buy some skin care products in order to help with their dry skin condition. But this will not mean that this is the end for having dry skin. And the reason for this is because such creams cannot and will not be able to stop a person from smoking for instance. There is also the case of a having a poor diet that lacks anything natural but consists of only processed foods. These are other factors that can also contribute to having dry skin. But there are some medical conditions that may cause a person to have dry skin, and so a cream or lotion will be prescribed in order to provide a means of treatment to the condition whether it be eczema, psoriasis, dry skin or even the result of an allergy. But even still such creams will have their limitations, and you should realise that no instant cure will be obtained as soon as the skin is applied to the affected area. What is needed is a good daily skin care routine. There are a number of factors that determine what skin care product a person uses. Sometimes it can be the case that the person has been using a certain product for a number of years, and does not want to change. Or what used to be available is not any more, and there is nothing else that is quite as suitable. However if a skin care product is not available any longer, that does mean that as suitable alternative is not available. Many of the skin care products are better today than ever before, especially with the boom in natural and organic skin care products. There are also many oils that are available such as coconut oil that is wonderful for helping to provide a great treatment in the relief of dry skin. Dry skin care is more than about just making the skin moist, it is also about helping to prevent the signs of ageing. So any skin care range that you do buy should help to stimulate the production of collagen, which helps to keep the skin firm and prevent it from losing its elasticity. So there is more to a skin care product then providing moisture, it has a lot of other tasks that it needs to perform as well. In fact there are no limits in what a good skin care lotion can perform. Natural skin care products are able to perform all of these without causing any damage to the skin at all. Just Why Do You Have Oily Skin?

In a world where image is just about everything, more and more men are taking care of their appearance and as a result the male cosmetic market has over taken that of women’s in terms of sales revenue. But it is not just about looking after your skin there is a level of vanity involved. After all having a polished look does help you to be more attractive towards others, and your level of confidence has gone through the roof. And the image of looking good, also reflects a person having a healthy body and healthy lifestyle which are paramount in our fast modern world. However, when it comes to skin types, it is quite likely that a man is to have oily skin compared to that of a woman, and so men will generally have to deal with more oily skin related problems such as acne, spots and other skin blemishes. There are a number of reasons why people have oily skin and this can occur in various parts of the body, but not surprisingly the most common area is that of the face. The glands in the skin sometimes are overactive and as a result excess oils are produced. The natural oily like substance created by the skin is that called sebum. Any over activity of these glands tends to take place during any hormonal changes and so this is why you tend to see a lot of teenagers suffering from oily skin. But that is just one factor as to why oily skin happens. Other factors include diet, genes, poor skin care and even the weather. As you will be aware, oily skin brings with it spots, acne, blackheads as well as a very shiny face. If you are wondering why oily skin is prone to spots and acne, well it is that fact that the oil is essentially acting like a glue and therefore attracts more dirt and bacteria compared to other skin types. It is important that you start to control your oily skin from the outset, otherwise matters could much worse, and you do not want to deal with acne and oily skin, and possibly acne scars in the future. One other reason that men especially want to care for their skin and stop oily skin in its tracks, is because the skin is shiny, it looks dirty, and you could be mistaken for not having had a shower before leaving the house. Can you imagine that! However given the disadvantages of oily skin there of course certain advantages and the main one is that you will not age as quickly compared to someone who has dry skin that is more susceptible to wrinkles. And for this reason, this is why a lot of men do look younger than women once they get over fifty. You therefore need to all that you can to make sure that you obtain a natural balance for your skin in that it is not too oily and also not too dry. Do You Need Help In Being A Natural Beauty

Natural beauty certainly starts with the appearance of your skin. This article looks at tips to help your skin look it's best. For most women, part of the morning and evening routines involve a skincare regimen of applying creams, moisturizers, tonics, lotions, and the like. Why do women put themselves through this? They do it primarily to combat the signs of aging, and to maintain youthful looks and beautiful skin! It is a safe bet, however, that most women haven't put much thought into what is in the products that they are using. Some women probably do not realize that what they are putting on their skin may actually be undermining what they are trying to prevent to begin with. In fact the average woman puts twelve products on her skin daily, most of which contain harmful chemical preservatives. Dr. Myron Wentz, founder and chairperson of USANA Health Sciences, has this to say about beauty in the company magazine's June/July 2005 issue: "Some say that beauty is only skin deep. Nonsense! I believe that true beauty is a reflection of true health, and true health begins deep inside each and every cell in the body. But true health and true beauty have an outer component, which is why we require protection from environmental insults such as solar radiation, pollutants in our environment and the drying effects of air. The fact is you simply cannot contain a healthy body if your skin isn't healthy. And your skin can't be healthy if your are subjecting it to toxic substances that are ultimately absorbed into your body." So, what can women do? How can they combat environmental pollutants, the affect of solar radiation, and the drying effects of air? How can they be sure they are using the very best products on their skin so they can be healthy inside and out? Here are some tips to assist in this process: - Be very aware of what is in skincare products. Use products that are all natural as much as possible. - Look for products that contain Dermal Surface Renewal Technology. DSR smoothes away existing signs of aging such as laugh lines, crows feet, and dullness. - Use products that have regenisomes. Regenisomes penetrate the skin to speed cell renewal after sun exposure. They also use the light of photosomes to undo sun damage, and have ultrasomes to renew skin while sleeping. - Find products with Proteo-C and Proflavonol-T. These two vitamins protect the skin from premature aging caused by the sun, pollution, and other environmental factors. They also provide advanced nutrition to the skin to keep it appearing smooth and firm. - If possible, use products that are paraben free. Parabens are synthetic chemical preservatives that are widely used in personal care products such as shampoos, conditioners, hair styling products, make-up, facial masks, skin lotions and creams, and deodorants. They also are typically ingredients in baby lotions, shampoos, and other personal care products for infants and children. In addition, parabens are in many foods and pharmaceutical products. Researchers are beginning to find parabens in benign and malignant human breast tumors. While some studies have challenged their toxicity in many products and question their long term affect on humans, using products that are paraben free can eliminate the risk of exposure to this harmful chemical. - Drink plenty of water! Water hydrates skin and hair as well as flushes toxins out of the body. - Limit stress or learn to manage it effectively. Stress is harmful both emotionally and physically. Find that stress reliever activity that works best and use it on a daily basis! These beauty tips should help you achieve your goal of having natural beauty and health. Just be aware of what you are doing on a daily basis Article Source: http://www.articlesnatch.com About the Author: Jeff Schuman invites you to visit his natural beauty website for ideas and articles on being more beautiful. http://beauty.ideas-from.us

Better Skin From Inside Out

By: Sam McKenzy The term skin care usually applies to topical solutions. This can range from creams to soaps, to washes to ointments. In fact, skin care is a market unto itself; a niche of products that are meant to treat skin ailments and imperfections. While such a market is no doubt viable (and successful), it's still, for lack of a better word, only skin deep. In the long run, the products they sell are shallow; shallow because they rarely penetrate beyond the skin to strike at the core of bad skin. Because at the core of most bad skin are several variables, like hygiene and, most important, diet. Combating dry, irritated, or oily skin requires that a person manage two fronts: internal and external. The external aspects of skin care manifest itself in the obvious: topical solutions and ointments. These aspects are primarily used to suppress and pacify bad skin. The problem with topical care is that it does little to alter the condition of the skin; that is, it does little to curb to the real problem. For example, if a person suffers from oily skin, the topical answer would be to wash it when need be. But this proposes yet another problem: how to eliminate excess oil from the start. From here, the internal front steps in. Internal methods at skin health can help to work for skin, and not against it. This is the age old principle that states that the best method to cure something is to cure it from the inside out. The problem is that internal care, like internal medicine, is a tricky and downright subjective beast. Skin care from an internal method involves plenty of lifestyle adjustments. The primary method involves a change in diet, and this alone may the culprit for many (as well the hardest bit). While chocolate and eggs have not been proven to cause acne, it can still trigger an allergic reaction in unique individuals; because lab testing can only confirm their results on a holistic scale. Personal histories and allergies tend to get overlooked. So, while Dove soap and emu oil can suppress oily skin, it should be determined how and why oily skin occurs. There is always the chance that an external catalyst is to blame; and once acknowledged, it can be alleviated, if not cured. This catalyst is most often a part of the diet, and can come in the form of an allergic reaction. So while it may be a myth that chocolate will cause acne, allergies are indeed very real, and most often go unnoticed. The best kind of skin care involves a regiment of both internal and external methods. The problem is that the external form of skin care is used too excessively, when in retrospect, internal care can all but alleviate the external side of things. The challenge lies in a change of lifestyle, because topical solutions, in the long run, create a physical dependency on the product. To better oneself from the inside out should be the ideal goal of anyone who wants better skin. Article Source: http://www.articlesnatch.com About the Author: Sam McKenzy Anti-Wrinkle Cream

Skin Facts and How to Improve Many Skin Conditions

Skin, being the largest organ of the human body, is very important to daily living. It not only covers and protects our insides, but it essentially holds everything together. It can also make sure we maintain the right temperature to survive, and gives us the sense of touch. The skin is made up of three layers, the epidermis, the dermis and the subcutaneous. The epidermis is on the bodys surface, where new cells form and dead ones fall off. The process of skin cell rejuvenation can take anywhere from two weeks to a month, and the entire layer of the epidermis is in a constant state of flux: newer cells move up through the layers and during that process, the older cells rise to the surface and die. Old skin cells are strong, and they act by covering your body and protecting it. Every minute of the day we lose 30,000 to 40,000 dead skin cells off the surface of our skin. The process of shedding cells in the epidermis is ongoing, and 95 percent of the cells in that layer are always at work to make new skin cells. The other 5 percent contains a substance called melanin, which gives skin its color. The darker your skin, the more melanin you have. The cells that contain melanin also provide extra coverage to prevent burning from ultraviolet rays emitted from the sun. Despite having melanin, we still need to be sure and cover up with a sunscreen to protect from skin cancer and sunburn. The second layer, or dermis, contains nerve endings, blood vessels, oil and sweat glands. It is also where collagen is made, which is important for elasticity and skin durability. The nerve endings in the dermis are responsible for understanding how things feel. The nerve sensors send messages to the brain when things feel too hot or cold, and they transmit messages of pain. The dermis is also filled with blood vessels that keep the skin healthy by supplying it with oxygen and nutrients. The third and final layer of the skin is called the subcutaneous layer. This layer is mostly fat, and works to provide the body warmth and protection. This is the same layer where our hair follicles originate. These follicles act as roots for each hair as it grows up through the dermis. Hair follicles tend to grow over the entire body, and more than 10,000 follicles are located on the head alone. You skin also works to keep your internal temperature from getting too hot or cold. Blood vessels, hair and sweat glands work together to keep the body at an optimal temperature, and to reduce risk of overheating. Keeping skin in good health is just as important as any other organ or body part. Make sure skin stays clean with water and gentle soap, and clean wounds to keep them from becoming infected. Since we only have one skin, we need to always make sure it is healthy and clean, and see a doctor when abnormal growths appear.
